Provincial Director

Alexis Sapera, CD

My name is Alexis Sapera, CD (Ret’d), and I proudly serve as the Ontario Director for Heroes Mending on the Fly Canada (HMOTF). I come from a military family and have been immersed in its culture for as long as I can remember. My father and brother both served with 1 PPCLI, my sister is currently an officer with CJOC, and my husband and I each dedicated nearly 20 years of service to the Canadian Armed Forces.

I first became involved with HMOTF-Ontario after witnessing the profound impact the program had on my husband, who lives with severe PTSD, a traumatic brain injury, and several physical injuries sustained during his service. Driven by this experience, I am committed to helping others who face similar challenges. I understand firsthand the struggles that accompany service-related injuries, both visible and invisible, and I am passionate about providing others with the same opportunities for recovery, growth, and a sense of connection which can be life-changing for those on their path to healing.
